Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the Georgetown Journal of History’s blog! Founded in 2016 and relaunched in 2024, the GJOH is an independent, student-run publication that seeks to showcase outstanding undergraduate historical scholarship on a range of topics. The journal publishes two print issues each year, but in the meantime, we’ll be posting short articles, interviews, reviews and other history-related content right here on our blog.

We hope that this blog becomes a place not only for sharing historical research but also for sparking conversation and connecting people who are passionate about history at Georgetown and beyond. Look forward to reading posts about Washington D.C. and Georgetown history, reviews of exhibits at D.C. history museums, interviews with history professors and students about the projects they are working on, and more!

Sincerely,

Benjamin Fishbein and Jasmine Criqui
